Elective courses end in May of the second year, and in October you formally graduate with a joint Executive MBA from Kellogg and Schulich, making you a fully-fledged alum of both institutions. But your journey continues. Going forward, it will be up to you how much you want to be involved, how you leverage what you have learnt and the network you have built. And there will also be many new opportunities to continue learning and keep reinforcing and extending your network.

To any graduate from all the global partner schools.
Organized by the KS Alumni Association year round.

When asked about the lasting impact of the program, our alumni invariably point to the global network. This network extends far beyond your own cohort and the students you meet during electives. It’s a growing community built on shared experiences and connections. Members share not only similar experiences, but also common values rooted in collaboration, curiosity, and mutual support. When you travel and reach out to someone in the network, they will often suggest meeting up, make introductions, or offer business and career advice that opens unexpected doors. In turn, the expectation is that you will do the same when others reach out to you—paying it forward as part of what makes the network so enduring.
You can join the regular meetings with your own cohort and the many events organized by the KS Alumni Association (KSAA) and the KS Women’s group throughout the year. These include gatherings in the summer and before the winter holidays, as well as the annual golf tournament in September and many other in-person or online events. And you can shape these events by offering to volunteer or by becoming active in the KSAA, which holds elections for its Executive every two years.

The Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA program is an extraordinary journey across the globe offering multi-cultural perspectives and insights in addition to the fantastic Canadian network and professors. You get immersed in a dynamic learning environment, engaging with diverse cohorts and esteemed faculty from around the world. Through collaborative projects and experiential learning opportunities, this program equips leaders with the skills, networks, and mindset to navigate the complexities of today’s interconnected business landscape and drive meaningful change on a global scale.
Learning how to develop a decision framework and pressure test assumptions – practicing Decision frameworks in Branding class with Prof. Alex Chernev was a pressure cooker where he would call on students to substantiate their answer to the case and have them question whether their logic truly was bulletproof. I now channel my learnings from his class to make every day difficult decisions. His class taught me the value of knowing what major assumptions are, how to question or validate them, and identifying key risks and failure points. I also learned how to articulate each of these points clearly and under pressure. My favorite Chernev quote is: “It doesn’t matter what grade I give you. Life will grade you!”
This experience has been life changing. Beyond the academic excellence, connections established, and meaningful friendships cultivated, the Kellogg-Schulich EMBA has helped me develop my skillset and transformed my perspectives.
The program and people within it challenged me to achieve the most significant personal and professional growth I’ve ever had in an 18-month period.
Having a tech (Bachelors/Masters) background in Computer Science, I always lacked the Business knowledge to catapult my career in Product Management to the next level working for Fortune 500 companies. The Kellogg Schulich EMBA did that and more. It was a hands on, transformative experience that exposed me to dig deeper in creative problem solving, strategic thinking and leadership skills. Thanks to this program I now have an expanded/diverse network and indispensable skills added to my profile given an enriching experienced cohort along with immersive electives at Kellogg’s global partner schools. If like me, continuous learning, professional development, opportunities for career progression and networking is important to you then you can’t go wrong with KS EMBA.
The Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA was a transformative experience for me. I developed a new set of skills and was pushed out of my comfort zone, all within an inspiring community of fellow students and professors who were eager to learn and share their expertise.
The program shifted my mindset. Instead of approaching issues with a conventional risk-based approach, the program taught me how to look for opportunity and change in solving the challenges facing the business.
I have a global network of industry leaders and world-class professors whom I lean on regularly. These meaningful relationships were forged during long days and longer nights of academic rigour and fun. This is what I value most from the Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA program.
It’s a testament to the enduring impact of the program, its network, and the engaging post-grad events that years later, I continue to advance in professional opportunities and develop new business ventures with my Kellogg-Schulich crew.
