The Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA program is an extraordinary journey across the globe offering multi-cultural perspectives and insights in addition to the fantastic Canadian network and professors. You get immersed in a dynamic learning environment, engaging with diverse cohorts and esteemed faculty from around the world. Through collaborative projects and experiential learning opportunities, this program equips leaders with the skills, networks, and mindset to navigate the complexities of today’s interconnected business landscape and drive meaningful change on a global scale.
Learning how to develop a decision framework and pressure test assumptions – practicing Decision frameworks in Branding class with Prof. Alex Chernev was a pressure cooker where he would call on students to substantiate their answer to the case and have them question whether their logic truly was bulletproof. I now channel my learnings from his class to make every day difficult decisions. His class taught me the value of knowing what major assumptions are, how to question or validate them, and identifying key risks and failure points. I also learned how to articulate each of these points clearly and under pressure. My favorite Chernev quote is: “It doesn’t matter what grade I give you. Life will grade you!”
This experience has been life changing. Beyond the academic excellence, connections established, and meaningful friendships cultivated, the Kellogg-Schulich EMBA has helped me develop my skillset and transformed my perspectives.
The program and people within it challenged me to achieve the most significant personal and professional growth I’ve ever had in an 18-month period.
The Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA was a transformative experience for me. I developed a new set of skills and was pushed out of my comfort zone, all within an inspiring community of fellow students and professors who were eager to learn and share their expertise.
The program shifted my mindset. Instead of approaching issues with a conventional risk-based approach, the program taught me how to look for opportunity and change in solving the challenges facing the business.
I have a global network of industry leaders and world-class professors whom I lean on regularly. These meaningful relationships were forged during long days and longer nights of academic rigour and fun. This is what I value most from the Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA program.
It’s a testament to the enduring impact of the program, its network, and the engaging post-grad events that years later, I continue to advance in professional opportunities and develop new business ventures with my Kellogg-Schulich crew.
During my journey in the Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA program, I experienced immense transformative growth both personally and professionally. The program’s rich and rigorous curriculum, led by esteemed faculty and internationally recognized subject matter experts, equipped me with cutting-edge knowledge and practical skills relevant to today’s world.
Collaborating with peers from various industries and backgrounds while taking classes at multiple Kellogg campuses around the world, broadened my perspectives and significantly enriched my network globally. Post-graduation, the supportive alumni community has fostered an environment of continuous learning, partnership and innovation, enabling me to tackle real-world challenges with confidence.
Overall, my experience in the program was nothing short of exceptional, equipping me with value-adding lifelong skills and paving the way for my continued career success.
I still recall the process I went through in selecting an EMBA program and I selected the Kellogg Schulich program because of the professors, the courses and the reputation that the program had. My experience was nothing short of fabulous, and it has helped me progress in my career in ways I never imagined possible. The insights I gained from the exceptional faculty and diverse curriculum have equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complex business world with confidence.
Beyond the academics, I am most thankful for the invaluable friendships I formed during my time at the school. The strong connections I have developed with my peers have not only enriched my personal life but have also expanded my professional network in ways that continue to benefit me today.
I will forever cherish the memories and the learnings from my time as part of KS 20. It was a transformation experience that holds a special place in my heart, and I am proud to be an alum of the Kellogg Schulich program.
The Kellogg-Schulich EMBA empowered me to make a quantum leap in my career — from Program Manager to Director of Product Management. What truly set the program apart was how it shaped me as a leader — elevating my mindset, confidence, and strategic perspective. It gave me the network and courage to turn what once felt impossible into reality!
