Admissions

Who is the program for

You are a humble and visionary difference-maker who has demonstrated both progress and positive impact in your career and/or as an entrepreneur, and you aim to go further and achieve more, whether by growing in your current organization and sector, by eventually changing your context and role, or by starting your own business.

What you need to join

Undergraduate degree

You hold a recognized bachelor’s degree from a Canadian university or an international equivalent. We can and will make exceptions if you have taken a different pathway to a position of responsibility.

No GMAT Required

In general, you will not be asked to complete an Executive Assessment (EA) or GMAT, except for very rare cases with limited evidence of the fundamental skills required to succeed in the program.

Management Experience

You should have at least eight years of relevant work experience when starting the program, with the last few years involving substantive responsibilities for people, projects, budgets, and/or client success.

Current Employment

You should either be employed or run your own organization and have the time to attend classes and complete all the related assignments. Your employer needs to be made aware and confirm their overall support.

What will it cost

Our program is very competitively priced in a Canadian and international context. We nevertheless strongly encourage you to make sure you have the necessary funds to pay the program fee, which for the 2026-27 cohort is: CAD$113,349.91 (Canadian citizens or permanent residents) or CAD$153,450.48  (International), payable in instalments.

These fees are subject to change on an annual basis and include: tuition, required books and course materials, organized meals during class days at the Schulich School of Business, and organized meals and accommodation during the Launch Week at Schulich, and the Global Network Week at Kellogg, the capstone in Costa Rica or Tanzania. For Global Electives the program covers course materials and organized meals and provides a standardized subsidy for accommodation as a credit to your student account.

You are responsible for all associated travel costs and your accommodation at Global Electives (compensated partially by the subsidy). The onsite hotel at Schulich offers stays at reduced rates during class weekends, which you need to arrange directly with them. During Global Electives in Toronto, visiting students will have priority for the hotel, with remaining rooms allocated on a first come, first serve basis by contacting them directly.

What awards are available

You will only be considered for the following awards if you are not receiving any financial support from your employer or other sources. We will allocate them before the start of the program and post them as a credit to your student account (reducing the program fee payable).

Leadership and Innovation

You have demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and introduced lasting innovations throughout your career and/or in wider society.

Breaking Barriers

You have transcended and/or removed existing barriers in organizations and society, or have helped others in doing so.

FRANKLIN-SASARMAN SIMARD

You have consistently and successfully worked for the public good in, among others, the not-for-profit, charitable, public or health care sectors.

WILLIAM RANDOLPH

You can show that completing the program without financial support would be extremely difficult. Can be combined with another award.

What should you do next

1. Send us your CV/Resume

We will check your profile with respect to the basic admission criteria outlined above. If they do align, we will invite you to a conversation, for which you can prepare by reading our brochure and the website in some detail.

2. Join a conversation

This allows us to get to know your background and your ambitions to determine how you would benefit from the KS EMBA and contribute to the cohort. And you can ask any remaining questions regarding the program.

3. Complete an application

After successfully moving through steps 1 and 2, you will be formally invited to complete an application and provide us with references, which will be assessed within 48 hours by the admissions committee.
